Emile G. Abbott, MD is an actively practicing Internal Medical Specialist in the border town of Del Rio, Texas who has also been doing photography since the early 1960. His first work was with film cameras but since the digital age he has been using Canon EOS 5D 12.8 megapixel and 20D 8.6 megapixel cameras with multiple professional lens. He uses MacBookPro computer with Aperture 2.1 and CS3 programs for post processing. He is well skilled in all the technical components of lighting, exposure, color, patterns, design, shape, texture, form, depth of field, focus, perspective and composition. His basic style is to try to capture the moment, the emotion or what ever is unique about that particular situation. Each capture should tell its own story.
He as traveled and photographed extensively around the world including major portions of the USA, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia, Italy, France, Spain, Canada, British and US Virgin Islands, Equador, Galapagos Islands and many other places.
He has been featured at many exhibitions including a single artist exhibition, Lee Bunch Art Studio, Casa De La Cutura, Firehouse First Friday Art Walk, Monarch Festival and placed 16 captures in the F/22 contest at the Firehouse. He was feature at the Ozona Library for Texas History exhibition and had multiple captures at the George Paul Memorial Museum when it was open. He has photographed the American Red Cross Fashion and Style Show in 2006,2007 & 2008 and has done other runway shows. He was selected to participate in the "Best Photographer of the year Contest" in 2007. His range is extremely wide and varied.
He has been featured photographer for the George Paul Memorial Bull Ride in 2006, 2007 and 2008. He has been featured photographer for the Rotary Independence Day Rodeo in 2007 and 2008.
His work has been recognized and captures selected for the Texas Trails Brochure and received many "Best all time awards" from Fan Art Review some of which are included in this current photographic book.
He has self published several photographic books in addition to this current "INDEPENDENCE DAY ROTARY RODEO 2008" and is in the process of several others.
